In urmatoarele zile Google este asteptat sa lanseze oficial primul sau smartphone denumit Nexus One bazat pe sistemul de operare Android. Evenimentul s-ar putea produce chiar maine 5 Ianuarie 2010 cand Google are anuntata o conferinta de presa. Engadget prezinta in premiera telefonul smartphone intr-o interesanta galerie de imagini: Google Nexus One unboxing and hands-on.

Nexus One foloseste sistemul de operare Google Android 2.1 iar ca dotari hardware dispune de un procesor Snapdragon la frecventa de 1GHz, ecran touchscreen cu diagonala de 3,7 inci si rezolutia de 480 x 800 pixeli, memorie ROM (nevolatila) cu capacitatea de 512MB si RAM de 512MB si conectivitate pentru carduri de memorie microSD (card de 4GB inclus).

- Trackball: Tri-color notification LED, alerts when new emails, chats, text messages arrive
